DelGuard Mechanical Pencils made by Zebra have a double spring mechanism built into the pencils to prevent lead breakage from multiple writing angles.A spring in thebody of the pencil allows the lead to bounce when pushing down, making the lead slide back into the metal sleeve if force is applied straight down (for those who hold their pencil straight when writing); another spring towards the tip of the pencil allows the lead to move back into the sleeve if force is applied from an angle (for those who hold their pencil at an angle to the paper when writing). The Lx version of the DelGuard has a metal grip section, making it heavier thanits plastic-bodied counterpart; the extra weightgently encourages the tip of the pencil down towards the paper when you hold it in hand. Overall, the Lx has an upgraded and sleeker look than the plastic DelGuard. This pencil is a great solution for anyone who tends to grip their writing utensils very hard, write with greater force and often struggles with breaking their pencil leads!

The ER comes with eraser especially designed to make erasing as swiftly as possible. The eraser stays inside the cap as you write, and it automatically slides out when you flip the pencil upside down.
